Creating a Virtual Language Learning Laboratory using Moodle

Learning and teaching turn more and more to the exploitation of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in classrooms either as an adjunct to traditional face to face courses or as an instrument for distance learning.

In the case of language learning, computer technologies can provide many advantages et capabilities to enhance Language Learning Strategies (LLSs). For example, an institute or a teacher can freely build his Virtual Language Learning Laboratory using a Language Management System (LMS) like Moodle. Indeed, Moodle is free, adaptable, modular, multilingual and designed by teachers for teachers.

Through a concrete example, this workshop aims to create a Virtual Language Learning Laboratory using Moodle. It will focuse mainly on the various features of Moodle to support pedagogical language learning goals.
